Tips for buyers and sellers on offerup i put together a list of some tips for buying/selling on offerup as it can be a great app to use if you know the ins/outs, but terrible/scammy if you don't It looks like offerup manages everything shipping related (in an oversimplified way as one can. Feel free to add your tips in the comments to help others out

In general i don't buy anything that is not local. Its easy to tell there must be something fishy about them, but how are those scams pulled off Offerup and craigslist are now considered a bargain bin selling market, also the economy is horrendous and doesn't help either
I've not sold there for months and will probably go back to ebay and amazon because i'm not letting my collectable items and stuff in new condition sell for dirt cheap anymore.
I received an email from offerup to my main email box that says i have a $30 credit at gonift from them I've used the platform for a few years, but these days i almost never open emails at all assuming they are scams Did anyone else receive this Why sellers on offerup don’t respond (these are from my personal experiences) sorry, this post was deleted by the person who originally posted it.
Is offerup dead for anyone else I used to do okay selling stuff on offerup It seems like once they bought letgo that it's dried up I get offers every now and then, but seldom anyone that follows through
Is this happening with anyone else
Has anyone had better/worse luck on facebook marketplace? Offerup doesn't give the money to the seller , buyer has 3 days to inspect item and request a return in case of something wrong with item Offerup uses paypal and paypal gives buyers protection. I've been flipping on and off for the past few years and it constantly seems like offerup consistently has the worst buyers of any major platform for buying and selling
You post something like a relatively new macbook for $1000, and people think $300 is a fair offer, and this happens consistently, more than ever now Anybody else just feel like the app is full clowns and jokers that don't. As long as you get items shipped to you with money back guarantee and demand payment/shipping through offerup, are you safe? I believe offerup rolled their software onto a state where the majority of posts don't make it neither do new users get any privileges to post
Either they manually tightened their programming algorithm to not allow posts for a while or they truly broke everything this time.
Scrolling down the offerup listing wall one can easily find loads of listings too good to be true, most likely w/ shipping option (e.g 500 + shipping for a bnib ps5 disc while those trend at ~800 local)
